I love to dress Brase in little boy rompers!

An Olive Branch

There was a lonely olive tree setting in the corner of the florist shop. A sign of peace and symbolic of the storm that passed with the birth of our son. I purchased the tiny tree and gave it a prominent place in our home. This is the passage I later read, "And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth." Genesis 8:11

Monday was full of activity. I maintained Brase's feeding schedule, changed diapers, and ensured our home was in perfect order. In addition, I visited our favorite bakery, florist and personally made tea sandwiches. This was judgment day! Actually, it was our 1st post placement visit with our social worker.

The 1 hour meeting quickly passed into a 3 hour visit. The 3 of us got lost in our conversation. The visit went well and the social worker acknowledged that everything was on track. We should be able to consummate our adoption in early July.

By the Grace of God we have been given a son. Our adoption journey has not been easy but worth all the tears and heart ache along the way. We have lived a lifetime within the last 16 months. We feel very grateful for all that we have been given and all that we have learned along the way. This experience has made us acknowledge all the little signs that surround us. As for the olive tree... it's just another reminder of the joy we have found at the end of our adoption journey.

Adjustable buttons...

These little outfits are my absolute favorites.  Brase has many in various styles and colors.  The beauty of these are the adjustable buttons on the shoulder straps.  The buttons can move as he grows!
