Where's the fire?

The Houston Fire Fighters
Burned and Crippled Children's Fund

All proceeds received from sales of the Houston Fire Fighter Calendar goes directly to the 501c3 Fund to help children burned or crippled by accidents or fires. To date, the Fund has raised over $1.5 million to help area children. The Fund provides bandages, wheel chairs, prostetic limbs, and other items the children may require. The Fund and calendar project was started because the Fire fighters of Houston had no way to help the children they see injured after the initial accident. The Fund gives the Fire Fighters the mechanism they need to continue helping through the recovery process.

The Fund also co-sponsors CAMP JANUS. This summer camp gives burned children from age 5 to 15 the chance to be around other children who have suffered serious burn injuries.

The camp is staffed by volunteers from the Houston Fire Department, Hermann Hospital, Shriner's Burn Institute, and some adult burn survivors from around the community. All of these volunteers are dedicated, positive role models that seek to provide a quality camp environment.
