Little Man...

Every morning Brase carries his stool to my bathroom. He stands patiently while a shave and ready myself for the day.  Brase thinks he is so big on his little red stool.

Then and Now...

Right of Passage...

We are working towards a cleaner and greener world without diapers.

Over the course of this week, Brase has sat on his potty before bath time.  Last night he passed a major milestone.  Brase pulled off his diaper, sat on the potty and urinated all by himself.  This was followed by cheers of joy!  An impromptu parade then ensued to the big toilet for a pouring and flushing ceremony.

This is the beginning of a long process.  All I can say is... slow and steady wins this race.

Ready to walk...

Brase is in constant motion.  If he would let go he would be walking.  We will be running after him in the very near future!

Nothing is sacred...

Brase loves his Boon Snack Ball.  It rolls around the room for about 45 minutes of continuous fun.  Well that was until today.  Brase finally discovered how to open the ball without Daddy's or Papi's help.  Oh My God... MY RUG!!!  No one told us that these little creatures were so messy!

Some people call us anal retentive and compulsive but I call us clean.  Well... super clean!  You know like Howard Hughes or the boy in the bubble.  What is wrong with that?

Now for the record, our house is to be lived in but one major rule exists.   No eating anywhere outside the dinning room and never in bed.  The only exception to this rule is...  light hors d'oevres served before dinner in the living room.  Call us crazy but that's the rule!  With that being said... I must go because Brase requires a little more home training.

If you don't have a Boon Snack Ball, you gotta get one for your little messy bundle of joy.  Follow the link below to get yours or pick one up at Target.

My 1st chanclas...

Thanks, Mimi!!!

You must read The House on Mango Street if you are unfamiliar with the Spanish word chanclas.  It's an enlightening little book!  Check out more about this easy summer read via the attached link.
